Our lead molecule ND 10 for early onset paediatric myopia control will be applying for EU Marketing Authorization in Q1-2025 and US FDA pre submission meeting NDA meeting also in Q1-2025.

As you are probably familiar with the drug discovery journey you will appreciate that is the culmination of 18 years of effort, perseverance, and devotion to a single-minded goal of creating a global biopharmaceutical company. The myopia drug opportunity is itself over USD 20 billion and there is no other therapeutic in clinical development except Atropine which has had efficacy endpoint issues. We are adding new large manufacturing capability including a 2-million-liter microbial fermentation bio foundry and significant dosage form capacity.

POSITION SUMMARY:

Bioplus Life Sciences is seeking a dynamic and experienced Assistant Vice President – Global Emerging Markets (Formulations) to lead the marketing and sales strategy for pharmaceutical products across emerging markets. This senior leadership role requires a hands-on executive with over 20 years of experience in pharmaceutical sales and marketing, deep knowledge of medical science and product portfolio management, and a proven track record in developing market access strategies, building high-performing teams, and driving business growth across diverse geographies. The position reports to the Global Head of Market Access and Commercialization.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Develop and execute comprehensive market access strategies tailored to the unique regulatory, pricing, and stakeholder landscapes of emerging markets, ensuring alignment with global corporate objectives
• Prepare and manage detailed, country-specific sales and marketing budgets, forecasting revenue and resource needs for each market
• Recruit, train, and lead high-performing sales and medical marketing teams, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and performance excellence
• Design and implement product portfolio strategies by therapeutic area and region, leveraging market research, competitive intelligence, and local healthcare dynamics to optimize product mix and lifecycle management
• Oversee the launch and commercialization of new and existing pharmaceutical products, ensuring timely and successful market entry and sustained growth
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including healthcare professionals, regulatory authorities, payers, distributors, and patient advocacy groups
• Ensure compliance with all relevant local and international regulations, industry codes, and company policies
• Monitor market trends, identify new business opportunities, and adapt strategies to maximize growth and profitability in rapidly evolving environments
• Lead cross-functional collaboration with regulatory, supply chain, medical affairs, and R&D teams to ensure integrated market access and commercial success
• Represent Bioplus at international conferences, industry forums, and partner meetings, enhancing the company’s visibility and reputation in emerging markets
• Travel internationally for at least two weeks per month to oversee operations, support teams, and engage with key stakeholders.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Pharmacy, Life Sciences, Business Administration, or a related field
• Minimum 20 years of progressive experience in pharmaceutical sales and marketing, with significant exposure to emerging markets
• Demonstrated expertise in developing and executing market access strategies, product portfolio management, and country-specific business planning[1][3][4]
• Proven ability to recruit, develop, and manage large, multicultural sales and marketing teams
• In-depth knowledge of pharmaceutical products, therapeutic areas, and medical science
• Strong analytical, budgeting, and strategic planning skills
• Excellent command of written and spoken English; additional language skills are an advantage
• Exceptional leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills, with a hands-on, field-oriented approach
• Willingness and ability to travel internationally for extended periods
• Prior global travel and cross-cultural business experience are required
