Position Overview:
The PPIC Executive with Overseas Supply Chain Experience is responsible for coordinating and optimizing the production planning and inventory control processes, particularly for overseas supply chain operations, within a pharmaceutical company. This role involves collaborating with various departments, suppliers, and stakeholders to ensure efficient and effective supply chain operations while maintaining regulatory compliance and meeting customer demand.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES SHALL INCLUDE:
- Production Planning: Develop and implement production plans based on demand forecasts, capacity constraints, and inventory levels to ensure timely and cost- effective production.
- Inventory Control: Monitor and manage inventory levels, including raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods, to optimize inventory turnover, minimize stock-outs, and reduce holding costs.
- Overseas Supply Chain Management: Coordinate and oversee the procurement, transportation, and distribution of pharmaceutical products from international suppliers to ensure on-time delivery and compliance with import/export regulations.
- Supplier Management: Establish and maintain relationships with overseas suppliers, conduct performance evaluations, negotiate contracts, and manage supplier quality and delivery performance.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with applicable regulations and guidelines related to import/export, quality control, and documentation for international shipments.
- Demand Forecasting: Collaborate with sales, marketing, and other relevant departments to develop accurate demand forecasts, taking into account market trends, customer orders, and promotional activities.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with internal stakeholders, including manufacturing, quality control, procurement, and logistics, to align production planning and inventory control processes with overall business objectives.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process optimization, cost reduction, and efficiency improvements within the PPIC function and across the supply chain. Implement best practices and performance metrics to drive operational excellence.
- Data Analysis and Reporting: Collect, analyze, and interpret data related to production planning, inventory levels, supplier performance, and other relevant metrics. Prepare regular reports and presentations to communicate insights and recommendations to management.
- System and Tool Utilization: Utilize enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, inventory management software, and other relevant tools to support production planning, inventory control, and supply chain management activities.
EXPERIENCE

QUALIFICATION
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, business administration, or a related field. Advanced degree or professional certifications (e.g., APICS, CSCP) are a plus.
KEY COMPETENCIES
- Supporting major Audit like EU, TGA MHRA USFDA in last 2 years
- Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in production planning, inventory control, and supply chain management, preferably in the pharmaceutical industry
- Demonstrated experience with managing overseas supply chains, including knowledge of import/export regulations, international logistics, and customs compliance
- Strong understanding of pharmaceutical production processes, packaging requirements, and regulatory standards (e.g., FDA, GMP)
- Proficiency in using ERP/SAP systems and inventory management software. Experience with data analysis and reporting tools is desirable
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, work under pressure, and meet deadlines
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, build relationships with suppliers, and present information to stakeholders
- Analytical mindset and attention to detail, with the ability to analyze complex data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles, Six Sigma methodologies, and continuous improvement concepts is advantageous
- Flexibility to travel domestically and internationally, as required, to oversee supply chain operations and meet with suppliers
